When God Is At Work

•Serve with anonymity (5:12)

•Seek to build unity (5:12)

•Examine yourself carefully (5:13)

•Pray with expectancy (5:15)

•Prepare for persecution routinely (5:17-26)

•If we’re content with anonymity, we are less prone to jealousy (5:17)

•If we’re content with anonymity, the cross is more likely to be prominent (Gal. 6:14).

•Create the same passion around the same agenda (5:12)

•Keep your mind on the character of God—who he is and what he’s done (Acts 4:24)

Give greater attention to your inner desires that God sees than your outer reactions that others see. 

“These unbelievers had respect for the followers of Jesus, but feared the deadly potential of joining the church.”

•Pray for others to believe in Jesus (Acts 4:30: 5:14)

•Pray for courage as you share of Jesus (Acts 4:31; 5:21)

•Pray that the focus may remain on Jesus (Acts 4:27; 5:31)

•In persecution, God remains ultimately in control (Acts 5:19; 12:10; 16:26)

•In persecution, God doesn’t leave us alone (5:19)

•In persecution, we are to remain steadfast—trust in God for protection (Acts 5:20)

A CHANGED life is the best argument that God is real.
